Half Baroque, half contemporary; half French, half British: this is the challenge taken up by Franck-Emmanuel Comte and the Concert de L'Hostel Dieu for this recording. This recording brings together on the same programme works by Lully and Purcell, and contemporary creations by Frenchman David Chalmin and Briton Martyn Harry.

European Music Trails
July 30th announces the start of the triennial project “European Music Trails 2022-2024” (EUMUT) alongside two other european partners: Notenspur Leipzig (Germany) and Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena (Italy). This edition entitled Bach – The Art of Movement will focus on Leipzig’s famous composer J. S. Bach, the influences of international composers on his work as well as his influence on composers through the continent
The Orchestra
Created in 1992, Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu is a major player in the French baroque scene.
Transposing the diversity of baroque music into our modern era is one of our principal artistic objectives. By nourishing our work through stimulating artistic collaborations, we create opportunities for baroque aesthetics to come in contact with cultures and artists of diverse backgrounds.
