Amos Frappa

Amos Frappa has a degree and a doctorate in history and explores the world of the police and deviance in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. An associate member of CESDIP (Centre de recherches sociologiques sur le droit et les institutions pénales), his publications focus mainly on the history of the forensic police. He was awarded the first prize for a thesis in 2021 by the IHEMI (Institut des hautes études du ministère de l'Intérieur) for a work on Edmond Locard and the forensic police. Since 2023, he has been in charge of the operation to rescue the glass plates from the Lyon police laboratory. He also teaches at secondary and higher education levels at Lyon 2 and Lyon 3 universities.
