Anara Khassenova

Soprano

Kazakh soprano Anara Khassenova arrived in France in 2012. She continued her studies at the CRR in Boulogne-Billancourt in Anne Constantin's class, graduating with flying colours with her DNSPM in opera singing in 2018, as well as her Licence in musicology (Paris Sorbonne). During her studies, she sang the roles of Susanne in Les Noces de Figaro, Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites and the Baroness in La Vie parisienne, directed by Mireille Delunsch, Vincent Vittoz and Yves Coudray respectively. In 2015, Anara Khassenova won the Prix de la ville de Boulogne at the Musiques du dernier siècle competition.

Alongside her studies, she perfected her skills with Philippe Jaroussky at the Académie Jaroussky at La Seine Musicale, enabling her to take part in numerous concerts. She has performed at La Seine Musicale, the Salle Gaveau, the Salle Cortot, the Chapelle Royale de Versailles, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Opéra de Massy, the Fondation Royaumont, and numerous festivals in France and abroad, including Rotterdam, Riga, Luxembourg, Tokyo, Barcelona and Madrid.

In 2019, Anara Khassenova will be sharing an anthology of Strauss lieder with pianist Vincent Mussat at the Centre de musique de chambre de Paris, before returning to play Madame von Meck in Tchaikovsky's concert-show Souvenir. She also sang Bach cantatas conducted by Alexis Kossenko with the ensemble Les Ambassadeurs in Strasbourg. In July 2019, she will sing Galatea in Handel's Acis and Galatea , directed by Claus Guth. In January 2020, she takes the role of Laoula in Chabrier's L’Étoile de Chabrier at the Atelier lyrique de Tourcoing.
